  • Lahaina is a charming, historic town on the west side of Maui, the old center of the whaling industry and now, gateway to the well known Kaanapali and Kapalua resorts just a few miles north.  Here you can find quaint, boutique, clothing shops, art galleries, a large variety of restaurants and dining as well as ice-cream and gelato to cool your pallet.  The town is scenic and runs along the coastline.  Lahaina had been the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii in the early 1800's.  Lahaina is bustling with visitors and locals as well as passengers in for the day from the Cruise ships that anchor off the harbor.
